say hi to the filmography of ethan hawke

I really always loved ethan hawke

from gattaca he was my favourite

ever

i hate his naration voice i think he delivers badley when he speaks

but then he always has this sense of fragile calm - very americana yet

very delicate

i watched gattaca like 6 times in one day

because i dunno i related to it... strangely

the archietecture the soundtrack, the classicness and jude law <3 before the hype ( i fell inlove with his

psycho killer character from wisdom of the crocodile before he fixed his nose.... he looked more brutal !!!)

i feel so attracted to analy clean organized men who wear sharp suits

and upper body strength !!

and like this man "in-valid" so taboo and at the same time so strangely delicate

and after the sex scene with uma thurman he goes to the ocean like scrapes his skin with stones

wow. sadistic... SEXY

i was like what...12...and thinking "hmmm i like this movie why...."

GATTACA is such a good movie. I like scene where he beat his brother swimming & had to save him.

I really loved the idea of how society committed Ethan to a prescribed life, and he did everything in his power to defy those limitations. The message of "you can do anything if you put your mind to it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise" is presented in such a beautiful and poetic story, without the typical cliches expected in a morality film.

i thought gattaca was kinda weak.....have you seen thx 1138?
first film by Lucas and really compelling vision of dystopian future.
also recommend sans soleil by chris marker

such a poetic vision of how life can be. He was so pure chasing for his dream only through lies and living in shadow. have you watched 2046 wong kar wai?

yeah i watched thx 1138 too and i like it ALOT ALOT i think its the far most best sci-fi ever made. gattaca is quite mainstream but among mainstream movies it is very well done, and edgy beautiful without offending, or trying to be an "art movie" ...cos i can find some ppl finding thx 1138 or 2046 too unrelative. its not mainstream genre.

that's so weird, I watched THX1138 just yesterday. It's true about it being not as relatable as Gattaca, but you got to love George Lucas's first effort.

Did you know, GATTACA is named such after the first letter in 4 base pairs in DNA-

Guanine, Adenine, Thymine & Cytosine.

Its one of my fav movies.
