i was a big fan of jun really, i love when he did the issue for A magazine
its my fav A magazine and it was awesome
but i never knew they were SO RACIST
well i hope that not everyones like that at undercover.
i go to the casting because they REQUSTED me and then i go and
a japanese girl who works there sees me and says WORD TO WORD
"SORRY WE ARE ONLY CASTING WHITE GIRLS"
and waved her hand on her face

REALLY, does it sell better if u use no asians/blacks on the runway?
are you guys saying that being white is cooler and more "fashion"
than being asian or black?

particularly ridiculous considering it's a brand that appeals mostly to asians. and really, their loss. you've done much better labels. i find that most of the appeal of brands like undercover is their pretentiousness(ie. limited edition, overpricing, etc.) anyway.
and yea, azn pride ^^

I think some Asians have this inferiority complex going to their extreme and agreeing with others, at their loss. In the past few years I have noted a certain sense of revival of taking pride in Asian women (Zhang Ziyi was chosen for the famous shampoo campaign and the theme was Asians outdoing the Western girls with the beauty of the hair; another commercial campaign by Shiseido named Tsubaki celebrates Japanese women's beauty)(and few Japanese magazine started to employ only Japanese women, no half-white half-Japanese or foreign models) but when they are abroad I guess they just let the inferiority complex go to extreme again...real sorry to hear what has happend. I like Jun Takahashi's vision and I don't think he would treat you in that way had he been there (instead of the stupid girl).
perhaps they are going to announce their new name soon: Undercover & Fitch. Who knows, but this is bad because so many shows could have been better if they didn't have such a super pasty monocultural thing happening. When people meet my bf who is lebanese/latin they ask him 'oh! are your parents ethnic too!?" so weird, it makes me laugh like crazy and they always ask what's the matter.
